The Story of CLC Art 3000
Born near Mexico City as one of ten children in a family struggling with poverty, Luis (President) arrived in the USA at age 17 with just one pair of pants, two shirts, and a backpack full of dreams. His journey in America began in the textile industry, where he quickly distinguished himself through his natural talent for color matching and paint mixing. This skill became the foundation for CLC, which he co-founded with two partners despite early challenges with partnership struggles and financial hardships.
Through perseverance, his designs eventually reached Beverly Hills boutiques, and a pivotal 30,000-piece order allowed him to grow to 129 employees. Despite weathering significant challenges, from the aftermath of September 11th to customers filing bankruptcy, CLC continues to innovate in textile manufacturing today. His story embodies resilience, hard work, and the American dream—values that remain at the heart of everything we create.
